Yes, there are additional criteria that you must meet and all though they are not gaining points the following requirements are binding:
No there are no age restrictions. However you gain points only if you are under 31 years of age.
The documents provided
must support each requirement you should comply with in order to qualify for the
Tier 1. All the documents should be originals, relevant and directly appropriate
to the particular criterion and if issued in another language should be
translated by a certified translator recognized by the British High Commission
or Embassy:
If you have graduated on an MBA programme but the institute is not on the list of eligible institutes at the time of graduation you will not be entitled to apply under the MBA provision. If you still wish to apply under HSMP then you should complete the standard sections of the HSMP application form.
If you have graduated on an MBA programme from an institute that is on the list of eligible institutes, but you graduated before the list was published, you will not be entitled to apply under the MBA provision. If you still wish to apply under HSMP then you should complete the standard sections of the HSMP application form.
The MBA provision within the HSMP scheme is only appropriate to MBA graduates. If you have graduated through any other course at one of the eligible institutions you are not entitled to apply under the MBA provision. If you still wish to apply under HSMP then you should complete the standard sections of the HSMP application form.
The list of the 50 eligible institutions will be reviewed and re-published by the Treasury annually. If you have graduated from an institution that was on the list at the time of your graduation but the institute has since been removed from the list you will still be entitled to apply for the MBA Provision.
You can apply for the UK skilled migration status onshore unless you are in the UK as visitor or tourist or off shore.
Provided you have lodged your application under the Tier 1 points-based system while in the UK once your application is approved you should then apply for a leave to remain which will permit you to remain in the UK as a skilled person. It shall be submitted before your current status in the UK will have been expired.
Provided you have lodged your application under the Tier 1 points-based system out of the UK i.e. in your country of citizenship/official residence once your application is approved you should then apply for an entry clearance which will permit you to enter the UK as a skilled person. You should apply for an entry clearance within three months after the receipt of your Tier 1 approval letter.
