Applicants aged between 18 and 30 (inclusive) may apply. Applications must be submitted before the applicant's 31st birthday*. *Clients who have already turned 30 years of age can apply for the visa but will have to leave Ireland before their 31st birthday thus being unable to avail of the full visa validity period. With regards to the above Visa First recommend that you apply before your 29th birthday so that you are guaranteed a full year stay in Ireland. Passport valid for at least 3 months beyond date of departure from Ireland (i.e. 15 months from date of entry). The applicant must be Australian, New Zealand or Canadian citizen to be eligible for the Irish Working Holiday Scheme (Please note, currently Visa First is only operating with Australian Citizens and New Zealand citizens residing in Australia). The Working Holiday Authorization (WHA) will cover work of casual or temporary nature only. The authorization will not confirm the right to seek employment to anyone other than the named holder. The permit will be valid for an overall period of one year, but Australian holders of the WHA must not engage in any work with any one employer for a period in excess of three months. You must declare any criminal convictions - some will result in ineligibility. You must not have held a Working Holiday Visa for Ireland before. Applicants must have sufficient funds to support themselves for at least the initial part of the holiday or in the event of failing to secure employment.Evidence of sufficient funds for partial support must be provided (e.g. bank statement showing evidence of AU$2,500 plus a return ticket or AU$5,000). It is recommended for successful applicants that they obtain private medical insurance to cover any costs incurred in the event of an accident or illness while in Ireland. | |||||||||||
