Eligibility   

New Zealanders

To be eligible for the WHP Canada you must:
  • Hold a New Zealand passport valid for the entire period of your intended stay in Canada. You should renew your passport before applying if it will expire before this date. If your passport has a validity of less than 24 months you must state on the photocopy of your passport that you intend to leave Canada before the expiry date of your passport and sign to confirm this.
  • Be aged 18-30 years inclusive at the time your application is received. Your application must be stamped as received on or after your 18th birthday or prior to your 31st birthday.
  • Not have previously been issued and made use of a Letter of Introduction for the WHP Canada.
  • Be able to provide a New Zealand mailing address even if you are not currently in New Zealand
Australians

To be eligible for the WHP Canada you must:
  • Hold an Australian passport valid for the entire period of your intended stay in Canada. You should renew your passport before applying if it will expire before this date. If your passport has a validity of less than 36 months you must state on the photocopy of your passport that you intend to leave Canada before the expiry date of your passport and sign to confirm this.
  • Be aged 18-30 years inclusive at the time your application is received. Your application must be stamped as received on or after your 18th birthday or prior to your 31st birthday.
  • Not have previously been issued and made use of a Letter of Introduction for the WHP Canada.
  • Be able to provide an Australian mailing address even if you are not currently in Australia.
