Note you must satisfy these basic requirements to be eligible for general skilled migration.
For General skilled Migration to Australia your or your spouse must be able to satisfy the following basic requirements.
ENGLISH LANGUAGE
You must must have a sufficient ability in the English language for working in Australia. Note a higher level of English is is required for certain occupations where English ability forms part of the skills assessment.
QUALIFICATIONS
You must have post secondary (such as university or trade) qualifications and your skills must be assessed by the relevant assessing Authority. Visa First will organize this assessment on provision of qualification documentations. Depending on your qualifications, you may need to be registered, licensed, or be a member of a professional or industry organisation.
OCCUPATION
Your nominated skilled occupation that you are applying for must be the same as you actual skills and qualifications. Also your nominated occupation must be on the Skilled Occupations List (SOL).
If your occupation is on the MODL list then Visa First will be able to fast track your application.
RECENT WORK EXPERIENCE
You must provide evidence that you have been in paid employment in your skilled occupation for at least 12 of the 18 months immediately before applying, this applies generally if you are on the MODL list.
Depending on your nominated occupation you may have to provide evidence you have been in paid employment in your skilled occupation for at least 2 of the years immediately before applying. For certain occupations a longer period of specific work experience is required to obtain suitable skills assessment.
Your proof of employment letter must be in a particular format.
